Everything is cueing up for tee off on the 10^th. Our silent auction sponsors/major prize supporters are being as generous as ever. We even have a high-ranking sports star supporting us with a special item for our silent auction table! Our guest MC, Jeff King, is visiting the Garth Homer Centre this week with a camera so expect to see more about Garth Homer on CHEK TV’s 5:00-6:00 evening news! Now, we’re working on ordering some great golfing weather.

Have you registered yet? Are you thinking about registering, but don’t have a full foursome? Don’t worry – send in your registration anyway because we’ll play matchmaker at registration on Tournament day and make up foursomes with the singles, doubles, and triplets. Great way to make new acquaintances!

Jeff King, who describes himself as a “typical sports guy” is coming to the most untypical golf tournament in town. Jeff is the Sports Anchor at CHEK News and calls himself a medium golfer – it’s up to you to see if he’s right. Jeff is excited to be part of the team, so much so he’s offered to stick around to MC our evening! Make sure you register today to come out and join Jeff and the rest of us for what’s shaping up to be another great tourney.

New news about Tony Parsons

As most of you have probably heard by now Tony Parsons has taken on a new role as news anchor of CBC and CHEK’s joint supper hour newscast. Sadly for us that means he won’t be able to golf at the tournament. However, we will be announcing his replacement early next week.

Welcome to the seventh annual GHF Golf Tournament. We’re all looking forward to another fun day when we tee off at the Cedar Hill Golf Course on May 10th. The tournament raises funds for the Garth Homer Society. GHS provides day programs for adults with developmental disabilities that support greater independence and integration in the community. It’s official – the prize for the Putting Contest winner is a Scottie Cameron putter worth $450!! I know you’re already salivating at the chance to win this great prize so I’ll remind you that you do have to purchase a Bonus Package to enter the contest. You’ll also get a “Gimme String” and a Mulligan in the Bonus Package so it’s well worth $20. You can indicate you want the package on your Registration Form or purchase a Package at the Tournament before you tee off on May 10th.
